by Rojin Shakya | The grandeur and glamorous gala event of 22nd edition of Miss Nepal pageant has been concluded sorting out Nikita Chandak as new Miss Nepal. Among the 19 beautiful ladies Nikita Chandak was been crowned as Miss Nepal World 2017 while as the second position holder of the event 23 years of age Rojina Shrestha from Kathmandu earned the title of Miss Nepal Earth 2017 while securing the third position in the competition 21 years of age Niti Shah from Dang was chosen as Miss Nepal International 2017. This year the forth spot winner was also awarded and in that regard 23 years of age Sahara Basnet from Lalitpur was crowned as Miss Nepal Asia Pacific International 2017. All the top four winners will represent Nepal at international scene at their respective international competition of the year 2017.

Organized by The Hidden Treasure, in the grand finale showcased at Hotel De la Annapurna, Durbarmarg on 2nd of June 2017, new Miss Nepal World 2017 Nikita Chandak was also victorious at the awards of N-MAG Miss Popular Choice and Brij Cement Miss Confident. Represented Urlabari, Morang at Miss Nepal 2017, Nikita is been studying fashion communication JD Institute of Fashion Technology, India. Standing five feet nine inches tall, twenty years of age Nikita is also been a part timer in modeling and was also been the part of TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2017.
The event choreographed by Rachana Gurung Sharma saw Media Person Sanjay Gupta and former Miss Nepal International 2012 Subeksha Khadka hosting the event. This year the pageant had top fourteen semi finalists rather than the regular top ten. Likewise the final round saw top seven finalists instead of top five finalists. Also the final round was not a written question answer format. This time final round became an oral question answer round where the finalists faced one common question. Each girl spoke their answer while the remaining girls were kept busy with the head phones that kept away the girls from hearing the question been asked.
