Glamour Nepal, Kathmandu: Singer Smita Dahal has come up with her second album ‘Smita 2’. Smita is a granddaughter of UCPN (Maoist) chairman and former Prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
After five years of unveiling her debut album ‘Smita’, the teenage singer Dahal launched her second album amid a ceremony held on Thursday on the occasion of Ghatasthapana (the first day of Dashain festival) attended by top level of political leaders.
Former PM Prachanda, CPN-UML leader and former PM Madhav Kumar Nepal, UCPN (Maoist) leader and former PM Dr Baburam Bhattarai, CPN-Maoist chairman Mohan Baidya ‘Kiran’ and Nepali Congress General Secretary and former Deputy PM Krishna Prasad Sitaula jointly launched the album. Smita had launched her first album also on the Ghatasthapana day five years ago.
The newly launched album comprises five songs. ‘Bigardiana Kasaiko Kehi’, ‘Aakha kina jhuna thaalyo’, ‘Dil ko aakha ma jhyal’, ‘Parai ko bhayau timi’ and ‘Priya timro hridaya’ are the songs in the new album. Dr Krishna Hari Baral, Ananda Adhikari, Ramesh Raj Bhattarai and Dr Bhola Rijal have penned the words of the songs while Basanta Sapkota, Gaire Suresh, Chetan Sapkota and Ramesh Raj Bhattarai have composed the songs.
Singer Smita has announced that she is going to dedicate her album to her late aunt Gyanu Dahal (daughter of Prachanda).
Vibes Creation has taken the responsibility of market management of the album.
